What if the day of one of our string trio concert the violist is suddenly sick and unable to play at all? We did not struggle too much and, during the morning, just few hours before the concert, the violinist and the cellist transcribed all the musics supposed to be played by a string trio in a string duo music. The Highlander Duo was borned in march 2002 and since then did various concerts along Italy.

The Duo, a violin and a cello, performs usually during its concerts, some of the most important musics, classical and not classical, written through two-hundred years from XVIIIth until XXth century, according to the different ways to perform music of each century.
Among the music performed, a version of the famous “Follia della Spagna” whose manuscript was found recently in the Cathedral of Genoa, and “A Highland Battle” by the scottish J. Oswald.
