Recently formed, this group is made by musicians specialised in early music who have studied and performed for many years the early music according to the philological praxis using period instruments.
L’Ensemble Bel Canto is formed as a typical ancient consort of barock age and its members are: Maria Cristina Zanni, sopran; Gaetano Conte and Monika Schlierf, recorders; Donatella Ferraris, barock cello; Mario Del Grosso, harpsichord.
It is important to remark that Mario Del Grosso is also an appreciated harpsichord maker and the instrument utilised for this ensemble is a copy of the famous XVIth century harpsichord, known as
“Bonomiensis” present in the Victoria and Albert Museum of London. The sopran Maria Cristina Zanni, is from Savona and she uses to perform musics from Barock age until our century thanks to her ductile voice.


A concert of barock music were the protagonist is the cantata, one of the most important musical form of XVIIIth century. The program offers musics by Stradella, Händel, Telemann, Vivaldi, Corelli and J.S.Bach.
The group is formed by professionals musicians who have been expert for many years in the early music performance and it has been invited in various international musical festivals.
